Academician by passion and Chartered Accountant by profession, Prof. K C Mehta founded the firm in 1958 to practise what he used to teach at the prestigious M S University. During his three-decade long association with the University, he also graced the position of Pro-Vice Chancellor.

Presently, Prof. Mehta involves himself in directing the strategies of the firm, mentoring young professionals and spearheading the client feedback process. During the founding years of the practice, Prof. Mehta instilled the spirit of academic excellence and high-quality consciousness amongst the members of the team, which continues till date. He was also instrumental in developing a spirit of sharing knowledge with fellow professionals, which the members of the firm adhere to even today.

Prof. Mehta has been Chairman of the Baroda Branch of ICAI. He has also been co-opted as member of the Board of Studies of the ICAI and several universities in the country. Prof. Mehta has taught and trained few thousand professionals of which hundreds are successful Chartered Accountants.

Mr. Bakshi has a five-decade long professional career in industry and professional practice. Apart from being a qualified Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary, he also topped the examinations of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators, U.K. (ICAS) and was awarded the King George V Silver Jubilee Commemoration Prize.

His industry experience helps in understanding and managing client expectations. Mr. Bakshi has advised various multinationals with special focus on the areas of exchange control, risk management & international business. Mr. Bakshi is part of senior management of the firm and a mentor to many.

Mr. Bakshi introduced strict rules of independence of the firm much before the issue of independence was a matter of major discussion and helped the firm in devising its strict independence policy and compliance with the same. Presently, apart from being a part of the team of mentors, he also guides the Compliance and Independence monitoring of the firm.

Mr. Doshi is a veteran auditor and consultant. He was one of the earliest Chartered Accountants of the country to venture into corporate audits and now has more than five decades of experience of handling statutory audits with focus on corporate audits. He also holds a degree in Law. Mr. Doshi's focus has been to provide good governance practice in the family-owned companies as a medium for growth of the organisation and has several success stories to his credit.

He has been instrumental in developing the internal policies and procedures for the attest function discharged by the firm. He spearheads the team which reviews the work done by the firm and ensures adherence to the internal policies of the firm. He is also part of the team of mentor partners.

Milin Mehta has been leading the practice of the firm for over three decades. Under his leadership, he has steered the firm to expand its scope of services and geographic presence. He has been instrumental in instilling the spirit of high ethical standards in the firm and driving quality growth. Besides being a Chartered Accountant, he is also a Law Graduate. His multi-faceted and meritorious academics and experience gives him opportunity to serve clients in the areas ranging from accounting to tax, valuations to strategies and governance to law.

Milin has earlier led the tax practice of the firm and was responsible in setting up the international tax and transfer pricing practice. Milin presently focuses on the Transaction Advisory Services of the firm, while also providing technical leadership to the Tax practice.

Milin's ability to articulate a point and his fair approach has enabled him to negotiate very complex cases. He cherishes arguing in complex tax litigations and has to his credit several reported decisions, some of which are pathbreaking. He was invited by the Finance Ministry, Government of India, through CBDT to be member of the committee appointed for formulation of ICDS as well as MAT Computation under Ind-AS scenario.

Due to his active participation in the activities of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and contribution in the seminars and conferences throughout the country, Milin has developed an excellent network amongst the professionals. He serves as Independent/Non-executive Director in various listed and unlisted companies and chairs their audit committees. He is a prolific speaker and has presented papers and delivered talks in seminars at national level.

Vishal leads the Audit & Assurance practice of the firm. Vishal is a Chartered Accountant with more than 25 years of professional experience. He is also a qualified Information System Auditor, Valuer and possesses a Diploma in Insurance and Risk Management.

Vishal specialises in the area of convergence from India GAAP to Ind-AS / IFRS. Vishal, has to his credit, successfully led some very prestigious Ind-AS implementation and convergence projects in oil & gas, power and manufacturing sectors.

Vishal has been the Chairman of the Baroda Branch of ICAI. Vishal is a regular faculty on the courses conducted by ICAI on Ind-AS and has trained hundreds of professionals on Ind-AS during last several years.

Shripad presently leads the Corporate Tax practice, apart from being Client Relationship Head for some large prestigious clients of the firm. With more than three decades of professional experience, he has developed a niche in the area of tax representation.

He focuses on compliance and representation for Corporate Tax matters. Shripad has successfully handled complex matters ranging from corporate tax assessments and the assessments made consequent to tax investigation, searches, and surveys. He also heads Inventory Management assignments for various large corporates and provides support to meet their employee tax obligations as well.

Apart from this, he takes active interest in the management of the firm, regarding the matters of labour compliances, statutory requirements and overall administration in the interest of employees. He leads the social initiatives of the firm.

Chirag is a Chartered Accountant with more than three decades of experience. Chirag leads the Management Audit & Indirect Tax practice of the firm.

Chirag has deep knowledge of Indirect Taxes and Foreign Exchange regulations which provides cross functional abilities. He led the team during the critical transition phase from various indirect taxes to GST, which is regarded as one of the major reforms of independent India, by providing clients improvised and optimal business model considering newly introduced GST regulations. He was invited by the Government of Gujarat to assist them in suggesting revenue neutral rate to the GST Council.

His special love for IT systems and security gives him an edge to add value to the clients in ERP gap analysis, implementation support and process improvements through system controls. He is also a certified information system auditor and has obtained qualification in Computer Aided Audit Techniques. Along with it, he has PGP in Data Science, Purdue University, USA.

Arpit leads the Ahmedabad office and International Tax & Transfer Pricing practice. He is a Chartered Accountant with more than 20 years of experience. Arpit had a meritorious career and secured ranks in all CA exams.

Arpit has been involved in advising a number of corporations on matters relating to International Tax. He specialises in tax and regulatory implications of cross-border transactions covering exchange control regulations, tax treaties, including MLI, BEPS Action Plans and transfer pricing.

He had co-authored the India Report on “The notion of tax and the elimination of international double taxation or double non-taxation” for IFA in 2016. He has been a regular faculty in the Diploma Course on International Taxation conducted by ICAI.

Arpit has been actively working upon the Employer Branding and streamlining the automation of systems and process flows of the firm. The conviction in his actions, and rightfully so, has given him an edge for putting out his creative ideas for the betterment and upliftment of the firm.

Neela is a Chartered Accountant with more than three decades of professional experience and possesses a Degree in Law as well. She is a part of the Leadership team of the Audit & Assurance practice of the firm.

Neela not only has a rich experience of handling assignments of listed companies but is very strong in the audits of Government Companies. She has helped several Government Corporations in their accounting and financial reporting functions.

Neela has handled audits of complex business organisations across different segments. She also reviews the work carried out by the team leaders across the assurance practice in so far as the audit documentation process is concerned.

Bhavin leads Corporate Tax practice of the firm. He is a Chartered Accountant with more than 20 years of professional experience. Bhavin regularly advises clients on major corporate tax issues and represents them before the tax and appellate authorities too.

Bhavin has successfully handled several tax litigations matters of diverse natures, including those involving transfer pricing adjustments, admissibility of business deductions or incentives, capital gains and penalties.

Along with it, he is the Management Representative for ISO Audits and ensures firm-wide adherence with ISO Standards.

Chhaya is a Chartered Accountant and a qualified Information System Auditor. She has successfully completed Certificate Course on Ind AS. She carries with her more than 25 years of professional experience in various fields.

Chhaya has a rich experience of handling assignments related to statutory audits, tax audits and VAT audits for corporate and non-corporate clients.

She has a niche in handling assignments in banking sector like concurrent audits, stock audits, inspections and other specialised assignments. Her insights into the banking operation practices have helped the firm add value in such assignments. She also takes an active interest in the management of budding CA professionals at the firm.

Darshana is a Chartered Accountant with more than 35 years of professional experience. Apart from supporting the Transaction Advisory services’ practice, she leads the Corporate Advisory and Incubation Support Services of the firm.

Darshana was part of the top management team of a large-listed company and has more than 25 years of rich industrial experience. Darshana has successfully handled restructuring assignments, transaction support for mergers and joint ventures, entire set up compliances for new businesses, regular accounting and compliances, consents and approvals for various types of entities and businesses.

Darshana’s rich experience in Industry as well as in Practice helps her to work productively with diverse individuals in a variety of roles and to provide support to the clients to achieve the desired results. She was appointed as a Woman Director in a listed company.

Akshay leads the Corporate Tax practice of the Ahmedabad office. He is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of professional experience. Akshay obtained a Master’s degree (Hons.) from M S University of Baroda and also holds a Certificate in International Tax Course from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (‘ICAI’). Akshay regularly advises clients on major corporate tax issues and represents them before the tax and appellate authorities.

He specialises in corporate tax and in achieving tax efficiency in various transaction tax related services. He also advises on expatriate taxation, DTAA and withholding tax implication on non-residents. He has worked extensively in relation to tax implications on adoption of Ind-AS coupled with ICDS. He has also undertaken detailed research and has advised clients in relation to applicability of GAAR to the existing / proposed transactions.

Akshay presently, is in-charge of technical publications of the firm.

Prashant leads Transfer Pricing practice at Vadodara. He has over 15 years of experience in this field. He has advised MNCs, both inbound and outbound, on various Transfer Pricing matters.

He specialises in advising implications of cross-border transactions, transfer pricing policies and mechanisms, tax treatments under local laws and tax-treaties. He has been advising in the core area of transfer pricing policies, compliance and documentation requirement under the law of India. Prashant has also assisted multinational companies for TP documentations compliances as per the local law of various countries, to name a few, USA, Czech Republic, Russia, Netherlands, Italy, France, Germany, etc.

He has worked upon assignments of implementation of BEPS Action Plan on Transfer Pricing issues especially preparing Master Files. Prashant also appears before Transfer Pricing Officers at various locations across the country.

He has been a regular faculty in the Diploma Course on International Taxation conducted by ICAI and was a trainer for subject of Transfer Pricing at Direct Tax Regional Training Institute of CBDT, Ahmedabad.

Being a ‘techie’ at heart, Prashant has always found his ways through latest tech, automatizing systems and currently is leading employee engagement and employee benefits initiatives of the firm.

Dhaval has more than 14 years of professional experience, including 9 years with a Big 4 consulting firm. He has handled international tax and regulatory matters, including analysis of various DTAAs, cross-border structuring projects, PE issues, repatriation strategies, foreign tax credit issues, FEMA issues, Mergers and Acquisitions, advising on secondment arrangements, etc. He also leads Incubation Support Services of the firm. Dhaval leads the India-Taiwan Corridor of the Firm.

He is also a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (‘ICSI’) and holds a Certificate in International Tax Course from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (‘ICAI’). He was nominated as a Member of the “International Taxation Committee” of WIRC of ICAI for the year 2020-21.

Dhaval has the unique recognition of being the first Indian Chartered Accountant to function as “India Desk” in Taiwan, during his tenure with a Big 4. Dhaval has assisted in contributions to various articles on topics related to International Tax in national / international publications. Dhaval has been a visiting faculty for various Commerce and Law Institutes and delivers lectures on International Tax issues across forums, including ICAI.

Being a multipotentialite, he has a knack for wildlife photography and often puts down his thoughts, feelings and emotions in black and white.

Shripal Shah is part of Audit & Assurance team having more than 19 years of experience in Audits, Tax and Finance fields.

Apart from being a qualified Chartered Accountant, he holds a Diploma in International Financial Reporting from ACCA, UK. He has successfully completed a Certificate Course on Ind AS and on Forensic Accounting and Fraud Detection, conducted by ICAI. He is also a qualified Information Systems Auditor (DISA).

He specialises in conducting Statutory Audits of Listed, Unlisted, MNCs and Other Companies under Companies Act, 2013 and IFRS regime. He has carried out IFRS and Ind AS Convergence / Transition & Implementation for various entities.

Shripal has a special interest in forensic audit and fraud investigations. He has carried out forensic audits of companies at the behest of the lending institutions.

Abhishek is a Chartered Accountant based out of Ahmedabad. He has over 17 years of rich experience in managing & conducting Risk based Internal Audits, Process reviews, Enterprise Risk assessment, IFC framework design, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) design and implementation, for large multinationals, listed and private limited companies.

He also has considerable international experience, whereby he has conducted Internal Audits in USA, Europe, Asia Pac & Africa. He was also instrumental in developing and implementing Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA’) framework across the globe for a Fortune 500 company.

Prior to joining KCM, Abhishek played a pivotal role in setting up the Risk Assurance practice for a Big 4 consulting firm in Gujarat.

Bhadresh is a Chartered Accountant with over two decades of post-qualification experience. His expertise is in handling GST, Customs, Foreign Trade Policy, and erstwhile Indirect Tax matters (i.e., Excise, Service tax and VAT/Sales tax).

Bhadresh has his flair in managing and leading indirect tax related assignments across sectors, including structuring, advisory, managing compliances, audits, refunds, litigations. He has also actively worked on Customs assignments, including Special Valuation Branch of Customs as well as FTP assignments, including claim of duty credit scrips, advice on availing various FTP incentives such as EPCG, etc. He has also been engaged in aiding clients set up systems and processes in place to take care of GST in India and VAT in GCC region (more specifically UAE). He has been actively involved in matters relating to advocacy and representations before the Government through various chambers of commerce and directly for his clients on matters related to GST and Customs. He is a regular faculty at various events and seminars on topics related to Indirect Taxation.

Virat is a Chartered Accountant with over 17 years of post-qualification experience in the field of Direct Tax and is part of our Corporate Tax team mainly for advisory and representations. He has also done DISA from ICAI.

Tax advisory and litigation are his focus areas especially in the matters which involve high-pitched tax assessments. Virat regularly assists clients in formulating methodologies to defend their complex tax litigations. He has represented clients before multiple judicial fora, including ITATs and briefed Senior Counsels. He is having in-depth experience in advising various clients on matters involving tax implication of their foreign income and assets under the Black Money Act in India. He regularly provides services for various clients exposed to search & seizure actions under the Income Tax Act.

Virat has been a prominent Corporate Tax speaker, at multiple conferences, seminars and forums like ICAI, Bar Associations and other professional bodies across the country on various tax matters, including ICDS, Search & Seizure and Faceless Representations. He writes articles and presents seminars on the practice of corporate tax practice areas.

Virat is a Tax-knowledge aspirant. Other than tax-ting, he is passionate about nature and product photography.

Chinmay is a Chartered Accountant and a certified Master in Business Finance by the ICAI. He comes with 12 years of experience in Transaction Advisory and Assurance services. Prior to joining KCM, Chinmay was a part of Assurance and Advisory functions at several global consulting firms.

His transaction advisory role includes financial & commercial due diligence, business plan reviews, vendor assistance, business valuation, transaction structuring & negotiation and corporate finance services.

He has advised clients seeking inbound/outbound investment opportunities, family-owned companies planning an exit, domestic/global joint ventures and shareholder entry and exit strategies.

Suril has researched extensively on tax implications across jurisdictions and developed strategies for tax optimisation over the years. He has contributed his views through publications on portals like Taxsutra and delivered lectures on these aspects to industry peers and fellow consultants.

Vandit, a qualified Cost & Management Accountant (CMA), has over 12 years of experience and is part of our Indirect Tax practice of the Firm.

He has professional experience in Indirect Tax advisory, structuring contracts, compliance management, litigation strategies, tax optimisation and due diligence. Vandit has provided guidance to industries like manufacturing, automobiles, FMCG, media & entertainment, pharma, banking, healthcare, ceramic and power.

Vandit handles various aspects of Indirect Tax, including GST Compliance & refund, litigation & advisory, Audit (Dept), State Industrial Policy, Customs & Foreign Trade Policy, VAT Assessment and Excise & Service Tax Audit.

He is passionate about creating value propositions and delivering solutions for clients and businesses in areas of Indirect tax. He is an All-India 10th rank-holder in CMA Inter exam and 20th rank-holder in CMA Final exam. He is an integral part of KCM’s GRC team and works from our Ahmedabad Office.

Nirmit is an MBA from the most prestigious Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He is also a qualified Chartered Accountant with more than 8 years of work experience. Nirmit is part of the Strategic Advisory practice of the firm. Nirmit was part of the litigation strategy and execution practice of the firm before he joined IIM-Ahmedabad to pursue his management studies. He extensively worked on the creating and executing strategies for corporates, partnership firms, HNIs and non-profit organizations.

Nirmit contributed various thought leadership articles on established portals including an opinion on processes & technology that the Government can adopt to improve its service delivery. He, also spearheaded the effort to design, develop and manage the implementation of a Litigation software, which digitized the case records, thus enabling fast and flexible service to our clients.

At IIM, Ahmedabad, Nirmit got an opportunity to undertake and execute myriad and diverse projects. Sanjana holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management - Ahmedabad, India’s premier business school. She is also a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 7 years of work experience. She will be joining the Strategic Advisory practice of the firm. .

At IIM-A, Sanjana worked on diverse projects and research work including start-up ideation, execution planning, investor pitching, and live projects offering innovative solutions to real world business problems such as increasing retail customer base and formulating corporate level strategies for business faced with crisis. This required her to carry out in-depth industry studies, primary research, root cause analysis, and develop a creative problem-solving ability. She was also part of the student body that carried out consulting projects for industry clients while on campus. Sanjana’s profile was also featured on Poets & Quants – the leading journal covering top business schools across the globe.

Previously, Sanjana was part of the Transaction Advisory practice of the firm where she worked across the deal life cycle including financial due diligence, business valuation, transaction structuring, and negotiation. She was part of some key transactions lead by KCM where she offered end-to-end transaction advisory services, managing multiple stakeholders, and handholding clients through the M&A processes. She has worked across industries such as pharmaceuticals, speciality chemicals, auto-components, and educational institutes.

In her free time, Sanjana enjoys reading novels & business books, and keeping up with world of business and investing.
